Claire and Peter's kitchen

Claire Bergin lives with her husband Peter and their two children. Their home is a new-build in the Co. Kilkenny countryside. They wanted to create a space that reflected their rural surroundings, but that was also suitable for the young family of four.

The Hampton Kitchen

Claire explains why she went with the Hampton Cotton White kitchen with island: "It gives a classic, but fresh feel to the place". The Hampton has in-frame solid ash framed doors, perfectly meeting Claire's requirements for a good quality kitchen that would last years.

Functionality and Storage in the kitchen

"Our kitchen is really busy", says Claire. "We needed it to be functional in terms of storage and accessibility". They achieved this through smart storage solutions like chrome baskets — "everything is easy to get" — and integrated bins — "there are no ugly bins on show".

Favourite kitchen features

Claire's favourite feature is the window seat: "It is an additional space for the children to read and it also has some drawers underneath that allows for more storage". The family are also big fans of the island. "Everyone can come in after a long day at school and work", Claire tells us, "and be able to sit down and have a proper chat about our day".

The Carlow Showroom

Claire and Peter visited the Cash & Carry Kitchens showroom in Carlow. There they worked with our expert designer Adam Butler. "Working with Adam was really easy", says Claire. "He was great to communicate with at the start. He gave us lots of ideas and advice and really helped bring our dream kitchen together". 

The end result

"We're really pleased with the results", Claire excitedly tells us. "It's the focal point of our home. We're really delighted we chose Cash & Carry Kitchens".
