Customer Story: Naomi and Brian's Augusta two-tone kitchen
How Naomi and Brian brought a coastal aesthetic and clean lines to their kitchen redesign, while also satisfying all their functional & storage needs.
Meet Naomi and Brian
Naomi Koit lives with her husband Brian O'Hara and their baby Maeve. Their home is a new-build in Garryvoe in east Cork, just a minute from the beach. The whole house has a modern coastal feel, and they wanted the kitchen to reflect that too.

The Augusta Kitchen Door Style
Naomi tells us that she chose the Augusta door-style because it has clean lines without feeling cold. It also wasn't too traditional or ornate. She opted for white units and added graphite on the island to bring some contrast and a little bit of drama. The look is completed by black handles and a Calcutta Marble effect worktop. "I love that the worktop has a glossy finish", says Naomi. "People are always surprised when we tell them it's laminate".
Naomi and Brian decided to add a utility room off the kitchen in Augusta White to keep within the aesthetic of the kitchen. They opted for stacked appliances and a sink to optimise the space.

Kitchen Storage Solutions
"The kitchen really meets all of our needs", explains Naomi. "There's a place to put everything away". She loves that the dishwasher, microwave and bins are all integrated. The kitchen has lots of storage solutions, including tall units, a Le Mans Corner shelf and stacked appliances in the utility room. "I think that we really maximised the space", she concludes.

The Kitchen Island
The island is Naomi's favourite feature. "There's so much space to cook, and bake, and chat with people while we're hosting". The front has space for seating, while the back contains extra storage as well as space for things like the microwave and bins.

The Cork Showroom
Naomi and Brian visited the Cash & Carry Kitchens showroom on Tramore Road in Cork. There they worked with our expert designer Philip O'Donovan. "Philip was fantastic to work with", says Naomi. "He was able to source everything that I wanted and had some really great innovative ideas of his own".
