Customer Story: The Bennetts’ Modica Dust Grey Kitchen
How the Bennetts' created a modern kitchen with an abundance of storage and counter space.
The Bennetts’ Modica Dust Grey Kitchen
The Bennetts and their three kids moved into their home three years ago. At the time, their kitchen was almost 15 years old and not in keeping with their style or taste. They wanted their new kitchen to include ample storage and countertop space. Their previous residence had a Shaker Light Grey kitchen, so the Bennetts knew that they wanted a change. Something that was modern, elegant and ideally with a matte finish. This led them to the Modica Dust Grey. Mark Bennett explained that they chose Cash & Carry Kitchens because of the “excellent selection”, “very competitive pricing” and “easy design process”.

The Design Process
The Bennetts booked a design consultation with John Hayden, an expert designer in our Longmile Road showroom in Dublin. They wanted a kitchen element that would have a “central or focal point” for their space. This was very important to them as a family. With this in mind, John included a waterfall island peninsula which has quickly become one of their favourite features of the kitchen. Mark says that John was “very professional”, “easy to deal with” and “very responsive both pre and post installation”. The Bennetts were “delighted with the end result”.

Butcher Block Laminate Worktops
The Bennetts wanted to incorporate a modern style across their kitchen. They love the butcher block laminate worktops. The worktops are complete with a hardwearing, wood-effect finish and are available in a variety of shapes, making them compatible with any traditional or contemporary kitchen.

Waterfall Island Peninsula
When asking the Bennetts what they liked the most in their Modica Dust Grey kitchen they quickly highlighted the waterfall island peninsula. Mark explained that “it not only provides an abundance of storage, but it also gives us a great seating space and effectively, another living space in our house”

The Experience
Mark described their experience with Cash & Carry Kitchens and John as “very easy and overall an enjoyable and exciting process”. The design has fulfilled all their needs in terms of storage and countertop space. He adds that they use the space for “normal day-to-day stuff a kitchen is required for but that it also operates as another reception room when we have friends and family over”.
