Customer Story: Darren's Modica Forest Green Kitchen
How Darren and his wife brought the outdoors inside with their natural green kitchen, ideal for hosting family and friends.
Darren's Green kitchen
Darren O'Malley lives with his wife in Keenagh, Co. Longford. They wanted a kitchen that was easy to navigate, where they could host family and friends.
Darren explains that with two busy work schedules, they often find themselves in the kitchen together in the morning " what we wanted from our kitchen is we wanted ease of access, mobility, and, we didn't want to be in each other's hair while preparing our day for work" he says.
Darren shows us his favourite features in his new kitchen
The Modica Forest Green Kitchen
Darren tells us that when choosing a kitchen style, the Modica Forest Green perfectly matched the colour scheme they were hoping to achieve. "We had natural colours in mind. We wanted to bring the outdoors inside." he says.
He explains that they wanted the kitchen to be a social space where they could easily entertain. "When we're hosting and and we have friends and family over, it's great that we can be active in the kitchen preparing food and drinks and we're not outside the conversation that we're still social and involved in the room." he tells us.

Kitchen Larder
Darren and his wife wanted a space that was easy to navigate. With some clever features, they were able to keep their kitchen clean and clutter free.
The Prestige Larder is a firm favourite especially during busy mornings before work. Darren tells us "The Prestige larder sets us up for the day. One of us can be there getting our breakfast ready while the other is maybe getting our coffee at the sink or at the kitchen table."
They also opted for a Swing Larder which he explains makes preparing dinner so much easier "It looks small from the outside but it stores everything." he says.
Both larders have made meal preparation a lot easier as everything the couple need is to hand.

A kitchen for Hosting
When hosting family and friends, Darren and his wife find the Bi-Fold Unit and the Integrated Wine Cooler make things so much easier "we can have everything prepped for when we're hosting parties so we can cater to everyone's needs." he tells us.
Another feature they find makes hosting or cooking together a lot more social is the downdraft extractor on their island. Having it open out ot the room means that they dont need to be excluded from the conversation when preparing food.
"We can have everything prepped for when we're hosting parties so we can cater to everyone's needs."
The Athlone Showroom
Darren and his wife visited the Cash & Carry Kitchens showroom in Athlone where they worked with expert designer Gary Kenny. "Gary was so easy to deal with. It was quick. He was professional, and everything went to plan." says Darren.
Darren and his wife were delighted with the service they received in Cash & Carry Kitchens Athlone. He tells us "The whole showroom in Athlone worked together to give us the kitchen that we wanted".
