Last time on Home Rescue: The Big Fix
Amy and Luke's kitchen transformation in Ballybrack
Luke and Amy's kitchen was a bugbear — poorly laid out with limited storage. Home Rescue's Dee Coleman, along with Cash & Carry Kitchen's own expert kitchen designer Dee Morrissey, came up with an ambitious design which turned the space into a calm oasis. Based on Luke and Amy's wish list, Dee went with a two-tone Augusta kitchen in white and light grey. This versatile kitchen is part of Cash & Carry Kitchens' Modern Heritage collection. It's practical, warm and full of heart — exactly what the couple wanted! "It's more than what I ever expected", said Luke. "I couldn’t fathom this". Amy was equally impressed. "There's enough character", she added. "It's unreal".

Lisa and John's kitchen transformation in Clondalkin
Lisa and John lived in a modest three-bed terraced house with seven of their nine children. Before the Home Rescue team arrived the kitchen was cluttered and not in the least bit functional. A clever new design turned the chaotic room into a space suitable for the busy family. After studying Lisa and John's needs and wants, Dee determined that a two-tone Augusta kitchen in white and midnight blue was the kitchen for them. Lisa and John are both "on top of the world" with their new kitchen. "It’s definitely going to make life so much less stressful. It really, really is. It’s just unbelievable", said John. "This kitchen is going to be the focal point of the family".

Sharon and Gavin's kitchen transformation in Dunboyne
Dublin Bus scheduler Gavin shared a house with his mother Sharon. She is full of life and optimism but has limited mobility following a bus accident. Subsequent health issues mean that Gavin is her right-hand man. Very little had changed in the house over the last 20 years and the kitchen was not fit for purpose. The challenge was to create a bright space that was accessible without feeling clinical. The Modica Forest Green was the perfect kitchen. This on-trend kitchen is part of Cash & Carry Kitchens' Contemporary collection. It marries an industrial vibe with sleek lines and a super matte finish. "There are no words", said Sharon. "I just never ever thought that I would have a kitchen like this in my lifetime". Gavin was equally speechless. "My mind’s blown, it really is. It feels like I’m dreaming".
