A Kitchen Designed for Real Life

Amy and Luke live in Ballybrack, South Dublin with their two children, Summer and Beau James. The old kitchen lacked storage and personality, making everyday life more difficult.

Dee Coleman’s solution? A  two-tone Augusta kitchen from our Modern Heritage Collection, combining light grey and white shaker-style doors with a Canova 28mm gloss white marble-effect worktop.

The result is a bright, welcoming kitchen with just the right touch of character. As Luke put it: “There’s a bit of grain in it, which I love.”

Practical Features and Smart Storage

Style was important, but storage was the real game-changer. Dee incorporated:

• Floor-to-ceiling units – including a tall utility cupboard that cleverly conceals the boiler while providing extra storage space.

• A spice rack by the cooking area – perfect for oils, herbs, and spices within easy reach.

• Le Mans corner storage and integrated bins – making the most of every inch of the layout.

Amy was delighted: “Everything is in its place.”

Integrated Appliances for a Sleek Finish

To free up counter space and keep the look seamless, Dee chose integrated appliances from Normende, including:

• A built-in double oven

• A microwave neatly tucked away

• An induction hob next to the ovens

These sit alongside a Setura 5S Single Bowl Ceramic Sink paired with an Archpro Black Spray Tap, creating a stylish and functional prep zone.

Finishing Touches That Add Character

No kitchen is complete without the details. To complete the look, Dee added:

• Pewter 92 cup handles and Pewter 91 knobs – a striking contrast against the light cabinetry.

• Lighting kits beneath overhead units – enhancing visibility and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.
