1.1 Cash & Carry Kitchens (“Cash & Carry Kitchens”) is committed to protecting your personal data.  

1.2 This privacy notice (“Notice”) has been developed to inform our customers/users about the privacy and security of personal data and to meet our obligations under the Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (the “Data Protection Law”). Under Data Protection Law, personal data is information that identifies you as an individual or is capable of doing so (“Personal Data”). 

1.3 We comply with Data Protection Law and this Notice applies to the Personal Data collected, processed and stored by us in order to carry out our functions and provide services to our customers.

1.4 For the purposes of Data Protection Law, we are the data controller of your Personal Data. You will find our contact details in the “Contact us” section below.

 

2. HOW WE GATHER DATA AND PERSONAL DATA

2.1 We gather data from your use of our website for example through the use of cookies. We are not able to identify you from this data. You can find out how we use cookies and how to change your preferences in our cookies policy 

2.2 We gather Personal Data when you complete a Brochure Request form, a Design Consultation form, or a Contact form on our website or when you have provided us with Personal Data for example by contacting us via email or telephone, or in person in our showrooms.

 

3. WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

3.1 We may collect the following Personal Data:

a) Customers

Contact details to include name, title, address, telephone number, email address and financial information together with any further information you provide to us.

b) Website users/subscribers

Name, email address, telephone number, nearest showroom.

c) Information collected automatically on our website via cookies (please see our Cookie Policy for further information).

 

4. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING YOUR INFORMATION

4.1 In order to comply with our obligations under Data Protection law, we are required to have a lawful legal basis in order to process Personal Data. 

4.2 We rely on a number of bases when processing your personal data as set out below:

a) Consent – we will ask for your consent in order to process your Personal Data for a specific purpose.

b) Contract – we will process your Personal Data to the extent required to deliver the service requested.

5.3 We may use your Personal Data to process any requests made by you for example, to download a brochure from our website, to book a design consultation at one of our showrooms, to respond to your inquiry and communicate with you when necessary to provide customer service and/or follow-up information with respect to our services. We may also use information you provide to communicate with you about your interest in our services, to promote our services, to notify you about new services and special offers we think you will find valuable, and to enable third-parties to carry out technical or other functions on our behalf as well as any other purpose that we may disclose to you at the point at which we request your Personal Data.

5.4 When you contact us, we may request your affirmative, positive consent to use your contact information for marketing or other business purposes. In the event you do not consent to the use of your contact information for marketing or other business purposes, your data will not be used for those purposes.

5.6 We disclose customer information to third parties only when it is necessary as part of business practices or when there is a legal or statutory obligation to do so. Whenever we disclose customer information to third parties, we will only disclose that amount of information necessary to meet such business need or legal requirement. 5.11 We may disclose information in the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose Personal Data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.

 

6. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP PERSONAL DATA

6.1 The period for which we retain information varies according to the use of that information.  In some cases, there are legal requirements to keep data for a minimum period of time. Unless specific legal requirements dictate otherwise, we will retain information no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the data were collected and processed (as described above).

6.2 How Do We Protect Data About You When or If It is Transferred Out of Europe?

6.3 We do not transfer any Personal Data outside of the EEA. However, certain third parties providing services to us may transfer data outside of the EEA.

6.4 We will implement appropriate measures to ensure that your Personal Data remains protected and secure when it is transferred outside of the EEA, in accordance with applicable Data Protection Law.

  • your right to have personal data erased (where appropriate)
  • information on the existence of automated decision-making, if any, as well as meaningful information about the logic involved, its significance and its envisaged consequences

Vindication of your rights shall not affect any rights which we may have under Data Protection Law.
