Customer Story: Shauna and Tom's Augusta Two Tone Kitchen
How Shauna and Tom created a bright and functional kitchen with ample storage and accessibility.
Shauna and Tom's kitchen
Shauna White lives with her husband Tom and their two children Harry and Holly in Kilmore Quay, Co Wexford. With two small children, they wanted to maximise their available space and make everything easy to access with plenty of storage.

The Augusta Two Tone
Shauna tells us that she chose the Augusta Two Tone door-style because it has a traditional feel to it with a contemporary colour. They loved the grain effect on the doors and the traditional oak interior. They chose the light grey because they wanted the kitchen to be bright. Their designer suggested adding a dark grey island to break up the room and make it a feature.
The white worktop and Chrome Handles finish the look . "We went with the white worktop because we wanted the kitchen to be bright in day and night", says Shauna. "We felt the chrome handles match really well with our kitchen".
"We love the traditional feel to the Augusta but also the contemporary colour"
Kitchen Storage
One of the main priorities for Shauna and Tom when planning their new kitchen was to utilise the space with lots of storage. "The kitchen meets all our needs in terms of storage", says Shauna. "We can fit so much in each cupboard and we can fit a lot in the pantry.". The kitchen has lots of storage solutions, including a pantry press with chrome baskets, a pull out spice rack and integrated appliances. "The pantry press is one of our favourites. It’s got chrome baskets at the bottom and lots of storage on top. ", she explains. Unsure where would be best to put the integrated fridge freezer, oven and microwave, Shauna and Tom asked for some expert advice. "David our designer came up with the idea of integrating them with the pantry press in the middle and we thought wow that suits our needs perfectly." Shauna concludes.

The Kitchen island
The island is a family favourite. "We love everything about our island. We love how we can sit on one side and there’s functionality on the other side with lots of storage" says Shauna. The contrasting Dust Grey of the island makes it a striking feature in the bright space.

"Working with David through the whole process was brilliant he made the process so smooth. ", says Shauna. "David listened to all our needs and all our wants but he also came back to us with much more creative ideas to utilise the space we have.".
Shauna and Tom had a great experience in Cash & Carry Kitchens Waterford. "From the very beginning they were so helpful and they were always at the other end of the phone if we every had a question."
