Customer Story: Matthew & Lorna's Augusta Dust Grey Kitchen
Read how Matthew & Lorna created their dream kitchen encapsulating a classic design with a modern twist.
Matthew & Lorna's Augusta Dust Grey Kitchen
Matthew & Lorna live in a new build home in Craanford, Co. Wexford. They met with Adam from the Carlow showroom and together they designed their dream kitchen, encapsulating a classic style with a modern twist. Matthew & Lorna chose the Augusta Dust Grey kitchen from the Modern Heritage Collection. They opted for integrated appliances and a peninsula island with additional seating. They paired their dust grey kitchen with chrome handles and knobs.
Both Matthew & Lorna said they were "really impressed with the quality of the kitchen" and that they found the team "really efficient" offering a "really helpful and friendly service".

The Kitchen Design Process
Matthew's parents had a fantastic experience designing their kitchen with Cash & Carry Kitchens so the couple hoped they would have a similar experience with their kitchen design process. Matthew said "my parents have a kitchen from Cash & Carry Kitchens, so I knew what the process would be like...and it was even better this time".
Lorna tells us that she was delighted with the autonomy they were given with the design decisions, complemented by informed and clear guidance from their designer. She explains "the design team were really helpful, they gave us space at first to have a look around the showroom...they were able to guide us with colours and making decisions on different handles and what appliances we wanted".

Integrated Appliances
Matthew & Lorna love the integrated appliances in their new kitchen. Their ovens and microwave are seamlessly integrated into the design, providing a more uniform aesthetic. Matthew mentions that because he is quite tall, having the oven and microwave at shoulder level will make his life much easier as there is no longer a need to be stooping and lifting like with a standard oven.
Matthew & Lorna also decided to integrate their fridge-freezer, with Lorna saying " I really like the built-in fridge and the way its hidden away". Integrating your appliances give a neat and tidy feel to your space and de-clutters countertop space.

Peninsula island with seating
The peninsula island is the focal point of Matthew & Lorna's new kitchen. It gives them additional seating for dining, as well as a space to prepare their food. The peninsula doubles as a social space and allows family and friends to chat and socialise while the couple cook meals. The peninsula also allows for a more open plan kitchen so there is plenty of room for high traffic in the area if needed.

Matthew & Lorna attended the Cash & Carry Kitchens showroom in Carlow where they met with expert designer Adam Butler. They tell us that they're "delighted with their kitchen" and really enjoyed the design experience with Adam from initial design consultation stage to fitting!
